A: Go into the main menu (F1/F5) and turn on the cursor menu. This will help make the game a less confusing experience for some. Q: When I start the game, the game won't react to mouse clicks or the keyboard! A: Somehow the game engine lost focus, which is a common issue when running AGS games in windowed mode. Click on another window or application inside windows and then on the game. Q: How do I run the game in full-screen mode? A: Run winsetup.exe in the installation folder, and uncheck the "Run in a window instead of full-screen" option. Q: Why do I get a "Failed To initialize audio hardware" error when starting the game? A: This is a common issue when running AGS games. Try closing any programs that might be using the audio hardware, then restart "Life of D. Duck II". If this doesn't help, try these options: 1. Run winsetup.exe in the installation folder and change the digital sound setting from "Default DirectSound Device" to "Default WaveOut Device". 2. Write "dxdiag" into the Start Menu's Run command. Click on the sounds tab and move the slider to "Full Acceleration". Q: The game is too hard, I need a walkthrough! A: Have a look at Walkthrough.txt in the Extras folder where you installed the game. ================================================================= UNINSTALL To uninstall, simply click the Remove Life of D. Duck II icon in the game folder in the start menu, or navigate to the installation folder and run the uninstaller manually. ================================================================= CONTACT / BUG REPORTING Bjørnar B: bjornar@bjornarb.com Audun R: jubalon@bjornarb.com Please report any bugs to jubalon@bjornarb.com. Descriptions on how to reproduce the bug is greatly appreciated. ================================================================= KNOWN BUGS - Sometimes D. Duck will do a still standing moonwalk when finishing an animation. This happens rarely and does not break the game in any way, and could be considered a nifty feature instead of a bug. - When opening up menus where the screen goes darker in the background, there will sometimes be a slight slowdown on older computers because of the transparency effect used. - In some rooms the music will be completely muted if you lower the music volume ingame. This is a common issue with the version of AGS that I've used when you've got rooms with different music volume than others. It is recommended that you adjust the volume on your speakers or in your operating system instead. - If you get stuck outside the house of Lucky Cousin Anton, simply "use" your car to get unstuck. I recon this happens because the engine's pathfinder has problems with tall rooms. It has only happened to the game developer once by accident, but is easy to reproduce if you deliberately try to walk on the edges of the walkable area. ================================================================= MUSIC USED (Commodore 64) Going Home III, Ian W.
